The news about a man, along with two others, being deported from Saudi Arabia for being “too handsome” has become viral on the Internet among many people, including my friends, who are in the Middle East, or have lived in the Middle East. I thought I should share this for a good laugh, especially for all the people that don’t, or haven’t lived in the Middle East! xD Never in my life have I heard such an odd story coming from Saudi Arabia, a country in which I have lived in for most of my life. I don’t know whether the world has really turned upside down or not, or whether this news was created deliberately…
This is just one of several articles (it includes mainly photos, in which I think a bit of PhotoShop was used =P). There is even a comment by a K-Pop fan underneath the article!!! I was definitely NOT expecting that. xD This was the comment:
I bet this commenter knows EXO. =P K-Pop guys are special in their own way. =P
Anyhow, the man that has been the talk of the Middle East at the moment is Omar Borkan Al Gala, who happens to be from Dubai, and is a photographer, actor and poet. The reason for the deportation of Omar and his other two handsome friends from Saudi Arabia was the fear that several ladies would have been chasing after them, particularly in a country where men and women are often segregated if they are not related. Basically, the three men were sent out of the county upon being spotted that they were “too handsome” for the public.
He is handsome…I admit, however, I don’t have the same feelings that others in the comments section on various articles about him have. Maybe because I like to focus on personality. One thing, though…this guy (he is Muslim) seems to be a person that loves God. It also looks like he is a fan of the Lakers, since he’s wearing a Lakers jersey with an Arab fashion spin to it, as seen on his Facebook Page, which he runs for photography purposes (see here).
On a funny note, he is cheesy like Dui Zhang…hahahaha. “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.” Kind of sweet, though. ^^
It’s not just ladies that have been awe-truck by Omar‘s appearance, but even men have been commenting on how good-looking the guy is. Truthfully speaking, I’ve seen many handsome Emirati guys in the U.A.E., and a couple of handsome guys from my own country too, but I guess the world beyond the Middle Eastern borders, or even my country’s borders, don’t really get to witness this.
As for the handsome people of my country, this is the list for 2012. I used to be a big fan of No. 1, Fawad Afzal Khan. He used to be the lead singer of a rock band called Entity Paradigm, which is the “Linkin Park” of Pakistan. I loved their music during my teen years! Fawad has now become an actor…a very good one too! There was also a girl from my high school that thought I was his cousin and even asked me for his number. Laugh out loud… xD No. 19 is HILARIOUS! He is mainly famous for his comedic behavior and jokes on YouTube. On the other hand, I’m really surprised that Imran Abbas is not on the list because he is a public figure that is most well-known for his looks (just Google him).
Overall, I believe that there are beautiful people from every country…but I would never expect people to be deported from a country for their good looks! =P
