ONE OK ROCK
Just a quick update. Today, one of my good friends introduced me to a Japanese band called ONE OK ROCK. She posted one of their songs on my Facebook wall, and I must say…this band is SUGOI!!! I just listened to a couple of their songs and LOVE them! Thank you, H and Q, for introducing me to this wonderful band.
I’ve been paying far too much attention to K-Pop, that I’ve been missing out on some amazing groups that are coming out from Japan. I’ve mentioned this before, but I used to be into J-Pop and J-Rock before I got into K-Pop, so it was rather refreshing to listen to ONE OK ROCK.
Just one thing that I have to add. ONE OK ROCK‘s songs sound a bit American and I can see that they have nicely blended in English and Japanese into their lyrics, just like K-Pop songs have been combining English and Korean in theirs. xD
Moreover, some fans question why the group is called ONE OK ROCK instead of ONE BEST ROCK. The answer to that is that the group’s name is supposed to sound like “one o’clock”. Interesting…

Another great song with catchy beats. The music sounds a bit familiar to a few American bands.
- C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h
A bit different from all their other songs, but still amazing. The lead singer is very expressive.
- Jibun Rock
I like the following song too. It’s upbeat and seems like it could belong in an anime. I wonder if my brother knows about this band. My brother has been studying Japanese for a year now and he knows to read and write in Japanese too, so he would most likely understand some of the lyrics of the songs.

ONE OK ROCK have other greats songs as well. I particularly love the music and guitar part in the beginning of Liar and I enjoyed listening to The Answer is Near. The MV for it is kind of similar to the MV for CNBLUE‘s First Step, but better ^^.

Well I think I just found me a new favorite Jrock/Jpop band!! I,m new to these boys!! I like that song “clock strikes” a lot!! and even though I NEVER liked the Jonas Brothers, they kinda remind me of them a little bit! and when u said their music sounds kinda like american bands, I think it does too
I also think they’re pretty handsome if ya ask me!!!
And u said the same thing I said about being so into Kpop that I been missing out on Jpop(or even Cpop). On my YouTube Page, somebody randomly left a comment on my page(I guess the person scrolled thru my page and saw that I had a lot of Kpop there)and said, “I heard Kpop before but I,m basicly new to it. I mainly listen to Jpop. Do u like Jpop??” and I said yea I like some Jpop and Cpop, but I just been SO into Kpop!! even though imma HUGE fan of Kpop, I still like Cpop and Jpop though
In Jpop, I like Morning Musume and solo artist Koda Kumi. In Cpop, I like solo artist Wilber Pan and Boyband Hit-5
Awesome! I’m not a fan of the Jonas Brothers either. Never was =P I guess it’s the hairstyle that looks similar?
I still like J-Pop and J-Rock too. I used to listen to A LOT of Japanese music artists/bands, but I haven’t really been paying any attention to new Japanese artists or groups.
I like the senior music artists in C-Pop, but I’m not aware of many of them. Jay Chou is really good, but he is considered a Taiwanese music artist.
Oh, and I really like the song, “Liar”, by ONE OK ROCK. I had provided a link to it in my post, as well:

and by the way, I like Jay Chou too. I remember when he played in “The Green Hornet” with Seth Rogan. What a hilarious movie!!!

This song is really nice!! Everybody’s talking about that song ‘Clock Strikes’ a lot!! I really really like that song!! I listen to it like 3 times a day!!!

Wa … I try out and listen to this song 4 times today !!! What can I say and it such a great rock song that I ever heard !!!
I like the chorus part and this sentences : ” Mightly story , don’t hide it away from me . ”
