Dui Zhang's Absence

The K-Pop world is so boring without Dui Zhang‘s presence. Well, for me it is… -_- I started drifting away from the K-Pop world around late 2011 until EXO was announced and when Dui Zhang was introduced. I didn’t drift away from K-Pop due to a loss of interest, it’s just that…there are things that happen in life where K-Pop becomes completely irrelevant. I don’t know how to explain it, but there are moments when it doesn’t even cross one’s mind.

These days, when I get the time to check out the K-Pop world, I listen to a few new songs that are mentioned on allkpop.com, but that’s it. Nothing more. As silly as this may sound, I don’t even bother paying much attention to any particular K-Pop star for more than 5 minutes, because none of them appeal to me like my ultimate bias, Dui Zhang. It’s strange, as Dui Zhang is not exactly the best dancer or best rapper/singer in terms of talent, and the previous few K-Pop stars, Kim Hyun Joong of SS501 and Siwan of ZE:A, that I did pay attention to, seem to have talent in one of those areas.

However, as a person, I find Dui Zhang interesting…his whole character or persona seems really intriguing. His cold vibes when we first discovered him as part of EXO could penetrate right through a computer screen many miles away. No kidding! Due to this, I wanted to see how he would evolve. I knew that he couldn’t be cold for long. Being cold is not really a trait that K-Pop stars have, anyways. Most of us get attracted to K-Pop stars because of their cute actions and bubbly attitude…but then came along Dui Zhang with his serious actions and cold attitude, which I later found hilarious because I felt that some of it must have been acting xD

I have so many things going on in my personal life, but whenever I get the chance to go online and check Tumblr…I feel sad that there isn’t anything new on Dui Zhang. By that, I mean his runway airport photoshoots, his way of speaking in interviews, his greasy and funny moments on variety shows, his ‘interesting’ fan interaction between live performances, etc.

I miss Dui Zhang‘s public appearance. I say, public appearance, because that’s all we really know about Dui Zhang. His private appearance includes traveling secretly to Guangzhou and people wondering where he is for the past two weeks or so =P I had a feeling that Dui Zhang was traveling before he even changed his location on RenRen to Guangzhou a few days back. It doesn’t make sense for one member out of twelve members of EXO to not make an appearance in public for more than 10 days! I’m pretty sure he went to Guangzhou to celebrate the Lunar New Year with family. Seeing some of my Chinese friends missing home during the Lunar New Year, I can understand why he would want to go back. I hope he had a good time! ^^ I wish the other Chinese members had the opportunity to visit home as well during this time.

I miss Dui Zhang and I’m sure that others have been missing him too… *cries* Okay, I’m not really crying, but you get my point =P

Where is POO FAN when you need a good laugh? *sigh* Also, if he really considers us as his friends, he would have remembered ONE of his friends’ b-days! After all that Ace incident… I kid! =P

I hope Dui Zhang is not one of those people that we constantly see and then all of a sudden just disappears one day and no one would ever know where he is or what happened. It would be similar to the case when people were wondering whatever happened to 2Pac, or other famous people that ‘mysteriously’ disappeared by changing their names, or buying an unknown island and living on it without the world really knowing much about it, or some other bizarre scenario =/ Don’t do that Dui Zhang! Don’t disappear…like bubbles. That would be sad =( I would be sad. We will all be sad.

We just want to know that you are doing well.

I shouldn’t be updating right now, but I’m doing this out of the little time that I have.
