I’m back from a LONG flight. Touched down on Sydney around 8 in the morning and reached the apartment around 12 noon. Traveling from Saudi Arabia to Australia means missing out or skipping one entire day. There was no Wednesday for us xD
On our way, there was a stop-over at Dubai for four hours and there were A LOT of people at the airport as usual. I noticed that some of the stores had been decorated for the Chinese New Year. There were many Asians at the airport too. The same goes for the airport in Sydney. SO many Asians. Furthermore, I saw a screen that displayed the flights that had just arrived in Sydney around the same time as ours and they included flights from Seoul, South Korea; Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, China; and Toronto, Vancouver, Canada. I thought…hmmm, “What if Kris missing-in-action means that he has been traveling? What if he is in Australia!? Dun dun dun…” xD Just kidding!
The weather in Sydney is really nice at the moment. It’s 28 degrees Celsius – not too hot and not too cold. I’m thinking of doing a bit of exploring in the city ’cause this is the perfect weather to be out and about. Not to mention, there are going to be tons of events in the city ’cause of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. In contrast, I really don’t like the cold winters here. In winter time, I feel like like sitting in my apartment with the heater on and not stepping outside in the cold at all >_< In case one has forgotten, it’s summer time in the southern hemisphere ^^
On the other hand, I was hoping that EXO would probably have a teaser out while I was traveling, but NO! All I saw was an update that SHINee is having a Korean comeback this month. SME has pulled off a “Maybe next time…” on EXO fans AGAIN -_- I also saw updates that all the members of EXO attended Sehun‘s graduation ceremony (congrats. to Sehun-ah!) except Lay and Kris. Where is Kris hiding? It has been 11 days since anyone has seen him. I know that he is sick, but 11 days is a lot for recovering. Did he dye his hair and does SME want to make his comeback appearance a surprise? I don’t know… Maybe Kris is just trying to be mysterious all over again =P I kid, I kid! From Kris‘ RenRen status updates, everything seems to be okay.
On a random note, I watched Disney’s Wreck-It-Ralph on the plane and it was really cute! I initially watched it ’cause the movie made a reference to many video games that I was familiar with, including Final Fantasy VII, and it looked quite interesting. I was surprised that the movie surpassed my expectations.
There was one particular scene in Wreck-It-Ralph that caught my attention. The character, Venellope, who is supposedly the “glitch” and “princess” of a candy-filled game called Sugar Rush, mentions and points out that Ralph, the big “bad guy” of the game, Fix-It Felix, Jr., has teeth. Ralph wonders why she said that and she replies along the following lines (or something similar), “It’s ’cause I haven’t seen you smile…” That part made me laugh! I remembered something about someone not smiling and the reason for it being that somebody must have taken away his candy =P
Overall, I really liked the character Venellope. I noticed that she looks like the younger version of me and that I used to have an outfit that was a similar color as hers (then again, anyone animated with black hair, has some resemblance to me, according to a few people, and I’m talking about characters such as Agnes from Despicable Me and Violet from The Incredibles. It’s definitely the hair and perhaps the petite height that people see as something similar). I’m thinking of making a post on Wreck-It-Ralph. I thought it was adorable!
I watched Toy Story 3 before watching Wreck-It-Ralph. Since I’ve watched the first and second installment of the Toy Story series since I was a kid, I really wanted to watch the third one. I noticed something in the movie…(again! =P). Woody is a cowboy and Buzz Lightyear is from space and can fly. They are both leaders. Does that ring a bell? xD
Apart from that, today I found out that my blog was mentioned as a source in the post: Airplane Wednesdays: The “Extraordinary” EXO Member – Kris Wu by AX3 Battery (the title doesn’t seem too different from my initial post on Kris xD).
THE SOURCE…now I feel like I’m in the Matrix =P You know, sometimes I look at the search terms that people use to reach my blog and some of them are quite hilarious. For example, “what time was Kris Wu born?” Hahahaha! I don’t even know what time I was born, except for the fact that it was at night (Edit: I just asked my mum and she said that I was born around noon…see, I had no idea what time I was born =P), so how would I know the exact time Kris was born? Maybe one should ask Aunty Wu or Kris himself xD People are very inquisitive about the smallest details aren’t they? =P Even though I’m a fan, such a question like that never crossed my mind. Why do we even need to know? Is it to look up the personality of a person that is born at a certain hour? Don’t believe in such analysis! =P
As for now, I can say that I’m a bit startled on how EXO‘s comeback has been delayed for several months. I don’t even want to imagine what will happen when they actually do make a comeback. By this, I mean the reaction from fans ’cause the following situation definitely applies to the K-Pop fandom…

With social media these days, receiving updates is super fast! =P Other than that, I’m getting the hang of the time in Sydney, but I wake up very early and then feel sleepy very early too.
I’m done with grad. school, but my graduation ceremony is in a few months, iA. It’s strange, because in my high school and undergraduate school, the graduation ceremony is two weeks after finals, but the system is slightly different in Australian universities. The time lapse between completing courses and the graduation ceremony varies from major to major as well.
Right now I’m busy in finding a job and completing other errands. Life in Sydney is very fast-paced.
Oh, I see. Funny, I was just invited to my nephew’s May graduation from Harvey Mudd (one of the USA’s best engineering schools – gotta brag a little, haha.) My eldest is graduating from high school this May as well. So, I’m mindful of graduations.
Good luck with your job search. I have no doubt you will be picked up by some lucky employer
