HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRIS!!!
My eyes look so squinty in the above pic. Well, it was a sunny day. I was thinking of making the collage colorful, but I thought black, gray, and white seem nice and simple. I’ve seen Dui Zhang wearing black and gray in his pre-debut pics. and videos of when he was training under SM Entertainment and since then I’ve made the assumption that black is his favorite color (forgive me if I am wrong).
Since my name is already mentioned in the birthday video that was organized by the International EXO Facebook Fan Page admins. there is no point in removing it from the pictures here (the video has been divided into two parts, which you can see below). Also, the last three words of my name, HUM, is pronounced as HUM for HUMBLE.
Here is the message that I sent for Kris‘ birthday, which can also be seen in the second part (PART II) of the video (the same goes for the collage above):
I was going to write something cheesy at the end of the message such as, “one of your angels,” but then I thought, “NO!” xD Well, at least I put a heart at the end =P Dui Zhang should consider himself lucky. This is the first and last time I put a heart in a message for him =P
As mentioned before, the birthday video of Kris, which was organized by the International EXO Facebook Fan page admins. has been divided into two parts. My message along with Josialyn’s, a friend of mine here on WordPress, is in the second part (PART II). The videos were actually sent to him by one of his fanbases ^^ However, why did my pictures have to appear when the words “drunk” from Like A G6 played…WHY!? *smacks head* WHYYY!? *cries*
Kris Birthday Video – PART I
Kris Birthday Video – PART II
Yes, my words of appreciation are nothing fancy and dramatic like a speech for a Presidential election and I’m no Shakespeare either =P I just wanted to get straight to the point ^^
Additionally, there is a video that I was part of for an event in Sydney organized by Baidu Wufan (Kris) Bar, but I’m too shy to place it here >< It’s on YouTube. I’ve talked about the event in the following post: A Day in the City of Sydney to Wish EXO’s Kris ‘Happy Birthday’
However, I do have something important to say….
It has been an honor to have discovered Kris since January of this year and I regret that many of us were not given the opportunity to support or be fans of him during his trainee years. Sorry that we couldn’t be there during those difficult moments, Kris. I know how it’s like to be away from home…2007 was also the year that I left home for the first time to pursue studies at a university in an entirely different environment and country. 2009 was the year that I discovered K-Pop, K-Dramas, and J-Dramas (with life lessons) and became busy with learning about this whole new world, especially the culture. If I had not discovered this back then, then I would have probably not been writing this today or would have never of known the existence of Kris Wu.
Furthermore, 2010-2011 was the year I was given the opportunity to take up a leadership role to represent an organization of over hundreds of students and I know how it’s like to be in that position; to be constantly under pressure and striving to do the best no matter what because you want to make everyone around you happy, and this includes both your team members and the crowd. Even so, by taking up this role, it’s a moment you know that you can make wonderful memories with the people around you. Sometimes I see a tiny glimpse of myself in you (except I don’t have a stern face or cold appearance =P) and this is perhaps the reason I want to support you. Not to mention, I also have a child-like quality, according to my friends, while trying to be mature. Hence, I can relate to you in that sense ^^’
Moreover, being in our 20s, I guess we have gotten a taste of what life offers…the good and the bad. But that’s life. There will be ups and there will be downs. It’s how we deal with it that’s important. It’s also strange how our perception of the world is so different when we are teenagers but when we experience different things in life as we grow up, we have a whole different view point. I guess life teaches everyone lessons ’cause I know that I’m not the same person that I once was when I was a teen. I suppose we shouldn’t have expectations because expectations sometimes lead to disappointment. The most important thing, though, is that we must try to live in the present.
Even though you’re younger than me by about a year, you look very serious at times and it makes you look older… Don’t stress, though! =P I still remember how I teased you in the post, EXO’s Kris Wu – The ‘Mysterious’ Member, about the fact that you didn’t smile. It became known in the fandom that you were the guy from EXO or even K-Pop that didn’t smile a lot, but you know what? I knew that you would eventually smile and that it would be a precious sight for many. Guess what? Everyone is crazy about your smile! ^^ I also know that you’re trying to break away from the serious image that you had initially been coined with. For instance, you have been displaying a lot of aegyo lately and I’m aware that you want to make everyone happy as a result. Thank you for showing this warm and considerate side to us, Dui Zhang. We really appreciate it.
On a random note, I will always remember the days when I was waiting for your teaser to be released. Even though your teaser was very simple, I liked how you acted out that there was an air of tranquility, peace, and freedom while trying to connect to something higher. Being the philosophical person that I am at times, I feel like I can connect to that. Additionally, you had a mysterious aura, and as you probably know by now, that is what caught my attention. For that reason, I decided to promote you as the EXO member with the mysterious image that would capture the attention of potential fans. It still amazes me how fast this year has passed by since then and how much we have learned about you and watch you grow. It has truly been a wonderful journey.
I also have to point out that I may be slightly worried about you joining Hollywood. I would never want to stop someone from achieving their dream, but I advise you to do some research on that industry so that if you join one day, you will be prepared. It’s not as glamorous as it seems. The morals and values over there are completely different to what we hold onto, especially in collectivist societies. I’m saying this as a friend, as you call all of us fans. I think you’re already doing an excellent job as being the leader of EXO-M and I can’t think of any other role that could have fit more perfectly for you (apart from being a basketball player in the NBA or something =P) ^^
Most importantly, thank you for showing your fans/friends your gratitude as we can see in this video:
Lastly, I must announce that this is my final post on Kris. Thanks for all the FANTABULOUS comments that all of you have left on my blog. I actually use the word ‘fantabulous’ frequently, but I didn’t want Kris to use it or copy my awesomeness, so I never mentioned it in my blog. This is just in case he lurks around here =P I say this for the reason that a couple of people copy me when they see me or hear me use that word. If he uses this word, then I would definitely know where it came from. I’m watching you Dui Zhang! Don’t be smart with me! I know that you snoop around here once in a while and have read some comments not just from me, but from some of my readers/friends as well. I have seen the signs, but I’m not going to point all of them out. I have known this for a while, but I decided to play along… =P All those things cannot be a coincidence. Celebrity or no celebrity, handsome or not handsome…I treat everyone the same, buddy…take it or leave it! =P
On a more serious note, all of my thoughts are sincere and thank you, Kris, for reading and taking out your precious time if you had done so. I’m sorry if any of my comments or thoughts have ever hurt you. Please know that was never my intention. I just want you to be a strong person. Overall, it’s nice that you pay attention to fans and care about everyone. Thank you. Xie Xie. Kamsahamnida. It is an honor. ^^ Looking forward to the day I see you in person, iA (if God wills). Also, I’ve mentioned this quote before, but I’m going to mention it again:
In life you’ll realize that there is a purpose for every person you meet. Never regret knowing someone, good people will give you happiness, bad people will give you experience, while the worst people will give you a lesson, and the best people will give you memories. God doesn’t give the people we want, but the people we need. Some people are there to test you, some will use you, some will teach you, and some will bring out the best in you. Trust in God and appreciate everyone He brings into your life.-SQ
All I want to say is that I really appreciate the comments from all of my readers and I am happy to have made some lovely friends on here. A big thank you to everyone! Can’t believe that it has almost been a year since I’ve been making posts on EXO and the ‘Dragon Prince‘ Kris Wu. It was fun and I’m glad that many of you got to learn more about this ‘magical creature’, as one of my readers says, called Kris aka Wu Yi Fan and appreciate him more through my blog. This goes for all my silent readers as well. I do check my stats. page regularly and know the amount of views that I have each day on my blog, and so far it’s exceeding 2000 views per day! Most of these views are from my posts on Kris, so I know that A LOT of Kris fans do lurk around here =P Please do not ask me to continue writing about him. It’s a personal decision that I have made. I will write about EXO as a whole, though…so don’t worry! ^^’ Hope you all will learn more and appreciate Dui Zhang in the coming years, iA ^^ I guess my part is done =)
Hasta la vista, lovelies <3<3<3 and once again…HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUI ZHANG KRIS! Hope it’s a FANTABULOUS one! ^_~ May God bless you with lots of health, wealth, success and happiness. Ameen.
P.S. I accidentally published this early. I was in the process of editing and accidentally clicked on the wrong button =P #DuizhangKrisDay and #Kris is currently trending worldwide on Twitter! ^^

Awesome birthday present. Simple and Elegant
Thank you, Rue! <3 I re-edited the post because I accidentally published it while I was editing xD
Haha! You know i actually found your site beacuse of the issue about Dui Zhang and his Alpaca
You write great stuff about EXO, especeially EXO-M, I’m a little sad that this will be your last post about Kris .
I cant find any blogs or sites like this, -describing and writing about them in great detail since their debut- it’s awesome,. i hope i’ll have luck finding more like this
:3
Thanks for the wonderful comment! I kind of need a break, but I will continue writing about EXO/EXO-M in the near future, iA ^^ It seems like EXO wants to end the year with an epic comeback, since they’ve been taking forever for it to happen xD
Yeah, I really hope you do continue what you’re doing!
When is the rumored comeback?
You know, There is supposed to be a Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert here in the Philippines and EXO-M and EXO-K are supposed to be coming along with other groups like SNSD and others. The tickets are already out since October and the concert is on January 19! I can’t believe my parents won’t let me go
and there will be meet and greets. :/ still kind of hoping i could go
There is supposed to be a lunar eclipse on November 28th, so I’m guessing that the rumored comeback might be around then…or maybe that’s when a teaser for their comeback would be released.
I heard about the Dream K-Pop Fantasy Concert being held in the Philippines. That’s awesome! If you’re free around the time the concert is happening, maybe you can convince your parents to let you attend it. I’ve only been to the Blue Man Group concert in Berlin, Germany in 2006…that’s about it =P I’ve never attended a K-Pop concert xD If I ever do, iA, then I would most likely choose to sit rather than stand. I don’t like the pushing and shoving that occurs in the mosh pit.
Let me know if you plan on attending the concert! ^^
I saw the eclipse. i dunno what has gotten into me ~ O_o
Hahaha! laughed at myself afterwards.
As if seeing a falling star, I wished to see EXO next year up close

The video of Kris was touching.
When Kris sees that you’re going to stop posting about him, he’ll be sad.
He’ll be fine, Josialyn! ^^ I don’t think he will get upset just ’cause I stopped making posts on him. He has other things to worry about ^^’
By the way, I’m going to mention you when the Kris birthday video is uploaded by the organizers of the EXO International Facebook fan page, iA ^^
Ahh JinCha?! HaHa..
I’ll wait to see it ^^
I mentioned you…but whyyy did my pictures have to appear when Like A G6 played…especially when the word ‘drunk’ was said? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!? >< Hahahahaha…only these kind of awkward things can happen to me =P By the way, you look gorgeous in the pic. and video, mashAllah! <3<3<3
Haha, it’s not that bad tho,
Most importantly Kris gets the message ^^
You look amazing too! I really find your features exotic. Which is so cool.
Are you considered middle eastern?
Gahh. Filming that video was the most awkward moment in my life.
True! ^^
These are not my best pictures, but I just wanted to show my support xD Thanks for the compliment. I’m not Middle Eastern, but some people, including Middle Eastern people, think I have either Persian (Iranian – I am often asked by many Arabs if I’m Iranian), or Lebanese, or Jordanian, or Syrian features or I’m just a mix. My ancestors from my dad’s side were Arabs so I guess it might explain why I look a bit Middle Eastern to some people. I’m originally Pakistani and some Pakistanis do have Middle Eastern features.
You didn’t seem awkward at all in the video. I thought it was nicely done! I guess we all feel awkward when we look at ourselves in videos xD
Aww I will miss reading your posts…but I kinda get why you want to stop focusing on one thing too

I remember finding your blog cause you were on the first page after I searched up Kris on Google back around the debut days
Thank you for the all the entertaining and insightful posts
No problem, pkc! I’m glad that you enjoyed reading them. Thank you! <3
I will still continue to write about EXO as we have their comeback that should be coming up soon, iA! And yes, I don't want to talk too much about one particular topic. I feel like there are other topics that are worth talking about as well.
I continued writing posts on Kris 'cause my lovely readers asked me to keep them updated on him, otherwise I would have stopped at the post "Kris Wu – The 'Mysterious' Member" xD Besides, I felt like it would be fun to promote him 'cause nobody had compiled all of his pre-debut info./appearances in one spot. As a marketing major, I thought, "Hey…there is a gap. I can see people are searching for info. on Kris but they end up in various places across the web where info. on him is scattered. Why not fill that gap and put all the info. in one place and also wish him all the best?"
Writing posts on him almost became a hobby, but to be honest…there is just so much going on in EXO's schedule that it's hard to keep up. I just wanted to see Kris be more happy, expressive, and comfortable around fans. Now that we see that…it's time to move on ^_~ May I say, "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"? =P And I definitely know that he has been reading posts on him here to know what fans are saying so that he can improve his image xD As long as he stays true to himself, though, and wants to be a better person not just in front of fans but in every aspect of his life…then it's alright.
I also remember Tao mentioning on the show, "Extremely Extraordinary," that it's not just the managers that teach them the way to act or be presentable in front of an audience, but the members themselves are also involved in this task. How would they, themselves, be involved? Of course, they look up info. on themselves on the Internet to see what fans are saying about them so that they can improve their image and make the audience more happy! If I were in their position, I would want to know what fans are saying about me too =P This is one example: Kris notices that everyone finds him and his alpaca plushie cute, especially with the glasses and scarf around it, and he also notices that fans think of it as his child…what do you see next? Kris brings his alpaca plushie WITH the glasses and scarf (ahem ahem) to his birthday and announces it as his son. Coincidence? I think not! He is fully aware of what fans want to see. Besides, Kris seems to be the type that carefully analyzes and studies his environment very well. He is quite observant (you can see it in the way his eyes move and how they scan his surroundings) and I’m sure he pays critical attention to people’s opinions and thoughts and takes them into account.
Furthermore, if my blog appears on the first page of Google when typing 'EXO Kris' then I can bet you Kris has seen this blog =P I've been writing about him since two months before he even debuted! I can also say that some things may have upset him too (Sorry, Dui Zhang), but that's 'cause we are old enough to have opinions that may sometimes be rather straightforward, but they are honest opinions. We are not the "OPPA IS PERFECT" type of fans xD We are the fans that realize that the people we like in the group are humans with flaws and that they have their own opinions about a particular subject that may differ from our opinions too, but even so…we want to support them and see the best of them ^^ I just felt like saying this, 'cause I think you would understand what I'm talking about.
When I saw the hazy shot of Kris and his alpaca on tumblr going into SM building for his party, the first thought that came into my mind was ‘ahh, so he knows what the fans have been saying’ LOL he is doing a good job of making the fans happy for sure. Of course I also hope he remains true to himself as much as possible cause its easy to lose oneself in the hype of entertainment business.
I actually do understand what you mean about not being a delusional fan
hahaha not only will it be quite difficult at my age LOL but also I think its putting too much pressure on another person who at the end of the day is just another human being
Haha! Whoa, how do you write this? even the way you say this things are interesting. that’s a talent there ^^
Where is this quote from? It’s so beautiful, one of the best quotes I’ve ever seen TT__TT
By the way, you’re beautiful. And I love your name. Maybe I will name my child after you
Does it mean something?
I found it on the Internet a long time back, Nana =) I like collecting quotes ^^ One of my best friends collects mini-books of quotes too. They are always nice to pick up every now and then and have a read through.
Ahhh, thank you *blushes* ^^’ Let me know when you will name your child one day!
My name has multiple meanings: My moon/Our moon/A piece of the moon (Urdu), Moonlight/Moon’s light (Persian), and large beautiful eyes like those of a deer (Arabic). You have a lovely name too. It means grace or royalty, right?
Ooh, I love its meanings^^
Yes, but my real name is actually Luna. It means moon in italian/greek/latin/spanish/whatever. Luna is also the name of a greek moon goddess. But my friends like to call me Nana^^
Oh, and by the way what does “SQ” at the end of the quote mean?
Awesome! Both of our names are linked to the moon! ^^ You know, whenever I hear the name Luna, I am reminded of Sailor Moon’s cat. I don’t know if you have watched the anime. It was first aired in the early 90s.
SQ is probably the initials of the person that came up with this quote. I tried to find the full name, but I wasn’t able to =/
OMG!! so i am at skool on the computer becuz i don’t have internet on my computer at home at this time and i am just missin’ out on everything!!! can’t wait til i get my internet back on soon!!! i really miss ur blog!!! as soon as my internet back on, imma talk to everybody!!!
Welcome back lamarsha! ^^ Can’t wait to hear more from you! Hope you get back your Internet soon <3
Annyeong haseyo unnie! Im a huge fan of Kris and became yours too. Ive been reading your blog for a few months now and it really made me sad when you wrote that this will be your last post on Kris. But I respect your decision and understand your reasons. I also want to see Kris as he truly is. He’s not a puppet to be dictated by any other opinions. I liked him the way he was since the first time I saw him showcased his talent, and that alone is alright because thats his course. I dont think that entertaining us fans offcam is a part of his work (im not saying that he should stop doing fanservice though). But being swayed by fans comments is just not good. However, I know that I know nothing in the world of being a star. Perhaps its really hard not to get affected by the fans. And maybe duizhang is just pressured because afterall he’s just a 90s kid. Sometimes I wonder how hard it is to be in his shoes. All I could say is just, keep on flying high duizhang dragon Kris! We got your back^^
Btw, Im from the Philippines and I want to share that Im really excited to see EXO on January because they will perform in our country for ‘Dream Kpop Fantasy Concert’. I hope you’ll get to see them soon as well unnie! Keep on posting great blogs. You are jjang!
PS: Imma business administration student with marketing subjects and I want you to know that you are great being a marketing person because u makes me agree in every word you say
Annyeong haseyo, Pam! ^^
Thank you for the lovely compliments and for understanding. It means a lot. Even though I will stop making posts on Kris, I will continue making posts on EXO if something interesting arises.
I slightly complained about Kris at EXO’s showcase in one of my posts, but I could also sense why he was like that back then. My intuition was right, which kind of surprised me. However, that was the past. Today is the present and now we see smiley Kris ^^ However, like you…it would be nice to see how Kris truly is. He actually seems really down-to-Earth and talkative when he is just himself. I wonder how interesting it would be to have a conversation with him…but it’s sad that that can’t really happen ’cause the entertainment world draws a line between a celebrity from the general public and almost makes it seem like there is some kind of hierarchy in society -_- As much as we like to say that he and the rest are humans like us, the entertainment world that they are in does not think that way. The ones pulling the strings above want them to be seen as someone more important than we are and are the ones that draw this line or division.
The world of entertainment is definitely not an easy place to be in and I guess it would be natural to be swayed by comments from fans because fans are the ones that are meant to support them (…and give them money =P). It’s tough! But yes, we got your back, Dui Zhang! ^^
That’s so awesome that you will be seeing them soon, iA! Hope you have a really good time and let me know how the concert goes! I hope that I get to see them soon too, iA. You know, I was super close to seeing EXO-M back in May at the SS4 concert-that-never-happened in Sydney, but it got canceled. Ahhh, I guess it wasn’t destiny. Thanks for the support, babe! I really appreciate it <3 Nice to meet a fellow BA student here! ^^
I’ll definitely miss you posts on Kris :’)
Awww, Moodswings…don’t worry! I’ll still write about EXO, iA! ^^ <3

One of the most pictures that I like is your smiling face ~ very charm and sweet scene
and thank you very much for wishing him happy birthday and thanks a million for posting many pictures of EXO group and video
i have to say you are very creative and genius forever while others can’t do that well
I also felt appreciate that you could spend a lot of time for doing this
otherwise, I wouldn’t know what is called ‘ EXO ‘ ? XP
Thank you, Susan! ^^ No problemo! I’m happy to know that you have learned more about EXO though my blog. Thanks a bunch, dear! <3
Without you moonlight, i will never have chance to read it and thank you so much that you could appeal on the Google website that’s how I start to know ^_^
No problem, Susan! I never expected my blog to appear on Google like that xD
