Fan girls have been going ga ga over the fact that Kris was spotted at Shanghai Pudong International Airport today with an alpaca stuff toy that was given to him by a fan (EXO-M flew from Wuhan to Shanghai to catch a flight to Korea, so it wasn’t a direct flight). Many had also noticed how he had been holding onto it tightly like he held onto his dragon stuff toy at an airport several months ago (see EXO Kris’ Airport Runway Photo Shoot Sessions Explained).

Evil Kris with a pony tail (just kidding…his shirt is kind of evil, though =P) and a cute alpaca stuff toy

Not to mention, the fact that Kris put his glasses and his scarf on the alpaca stuff toy…I’m not surprised. Why? In my post, EXO Kris’ “Mysterious” Pet and Other Cute Traits, I placed the following picture of a fluffy white Maltese puppy that had black-rimmed glasses and a scarf around its neck when discussing Kris‘ pet Bichon Frise:
Does this mean that I can slightly predict the future? I did make an assumption that one of the members of EXO can probably “fly” right after EXO‘s Teaser 6 was released and what I had said did come true! =P The similarities between the intellectual Maltese puppy and the intellectual alpaca are astounding.
I just want to say…Dui Zhang, you can’t compete with me! =P Nice try! Also, I don’t know if this fan account is true or not, but it has become widely known:
On the plane, the flight attendant told Kris to put the alpaca in the overhead compartment, but Kris didn’t listen and kept holding it. Later when he went to the washroom, he put the alpaca in his own seat and put the seatbelt on for it. (Credit:賴馨怡爱EXO)
Trying to be cute, huh? =P

This incident reminds me of when I was 12 or 13 and I was in Australia for the break. I bought a Cabbage Patch doll (I still have it with me. It’s at home ^^) and held it close to me 24/7 while I was at the airport and on the plane back to Saudi. My Cabbage Patch doll caught a lot of attention from the staff at the airport as well as the crew on board the plane. Everyone stopped by to take a look at the Cabbage Patch doll and it was amusing to see many men and women act cute towards it. Additionally, I was asked a couple of questions and anyone that walked by would say, “Ohhh! Cabbage Patch! CUTE!” xD
On that same day, I also had my mini Calvin Klein back pack with a teddy bear key chain attached to it. The teddy bear was blue and as my luggage was being checked, the security man asked me, “Aww, why is your teddy bear blue? Is he sad?” xD I replied, “No, he is not sad. He is just blue like that…” Memories.
Kris also looked like CNU from B1A4 today. CNU is my bias from B1A4 =P His bright eye smile immediately caught my attention when B1A4‘s company was revealing each member one by one through their teaser photos. My friends like him too and we’ve known about him since B1A4 were about to debut. We really liked the cute concept that they had for debuting. As you know, I’m a marketing major so I found the strategy of placing the members of B1A4 as comic-book characters to tell a story about each member of the group quite adorable and unique.
Furthermore, has anyone seen B1A4‘s fan service? My God, I think fan girls would faint. Just look it up on YouTube…especially Gongchan and CNU‘s fan service (they are really cute >_<). Can anyone imagine the members of EXO light dancing with their fans, giving them tight hugs, and a kiss on the forehead like the members of B1A4? I don’t think so! If the members of EXO did that, there would be war. Personally, I think B1A4 is THE cutest boy group in all of K-Pop.

Father Kris, Daughter Alpaca, Son Luhan, and Mother Lay…what a beautiful family!

Moreover, Kris has been doing a lot of ‘buing buing’ lately. I found the following fan’s comment on Tumblr, which made a reference to Spongebob Squarepants, highly amusing. It perfectly describes how Kris has been acting lately =P
Kris’ bbuing bbuing reminds me of when Squidward ate a krabby patty. He refused and refused and then finally he does it and now he can’t stop….. and eventually you’ll blow up. (Credit: koresian.tumblr.com)
I noticed Kris‘ fashion sense yesterday at Incheon Airport too. There was something else that I noticed, but I’m just going to talk about the following comparison.
The hat and shoes that Kris wore on this day were given to him by fans and a fanbase also gave him an iPhone 5. I’m telling you, it’s like everyday is his birthday, thanks to thousands of fan girls =P I always say that it should be the other way round, where the guy gives a present to the girl (I’m a traditionalist and sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era =P). This reminds me, one of the prophecies for the End of Times is that guys will become more like girls and girls will become more like guys. It’s kind of happening if you think about it.
I found the following images of Kris in his vintage-like outfit worth placing here. The owner that created these images put a caption underneath them stating, “Kris taking a leisurely stroll.”
Is that Kris‘ alpaca that I see in the background of the second pic.? Hahaha! Just kidding! ^_~ You know, I always look forward to seeing photos of EXO-M at the airport, especially Kris‘ outfit for the day. Kind of sad…but yeah xD Sometimes, I think we are putting too much pressure on the poor guy. It’s not easy to always look good for the public and then get scrutinized if something doesn’t seem appealing later on. Maybe the coordi-noonas are responsible for Kris‘ outfits or is Kris really the one that decides on what to wear? Or maybe on certain occasions he chooses what he wants to wear, such as fan gifts, and on other occasions the coordi-noonas choose for him. I really don’t know.
Another important thing, which is a little more serious from what I have just mentioned, I saw a gif. of one of EXO-M‘s managers hitting a fan boy because the fan boy wanted an autograph from Kris. I was quite angry for a while when I saw that. Is this the way SME’s managers are supposed to treat fans that make the effort of purchasing their music artists’ albums and supporting them or coming all the way to the airport to greet them? That fan boy wasn’t doing any harm at all. Poor guy…if I had a manager like that, I would have definitely said that what he did was wrong and I would have given an autograph to that fan boy so that he wouldn’t feel bad. At least he would have a smile on his face rather than resentment while going back home.
I also saw a fan taken video a long time back of one of EXO-M‘s managers hitting a girl at the airport simply because she was taking photos of the members just like everyone else in the crowd. Clearly, she wasn’t harming any of the members. Tao noticed what the manager had done and seemed really concerned about the girl and wanted to help, but what can the members of EXO-M do? They have no say in such matters and sadly, they have to obey their managers’ orders (I do question what makes the members feel so threatened that they can’t even help a girl, ’cause any normal guy would immediately help a girl out in that kind of situation). If their managers can treat fans in such a way, then I wonder how they treat the music artists that they are responsible for. No wonder why Kris is afraid of his manager! Though, I do think Manager Khyun is much better than the others.
Such incidents also make me believe that Shinhwa and previous artists under SME were actually beaten like many have stated. There is a fine line between right and wrong and if you saw wrong, wouldn’t you want to stop it? Seriously, SME should realize that their managers are representing the company that they work for and that they also have an influence on the company’s image. Managers using violence is an absolute NO-NO. Does SME know what kind of impression that gives off to the audience? It makes the audience NOT want to support anything that has to do with the company. A damage in the company’s reputation spreads much faster than something positive and is not easily forgotten. Always remember that.
Interestingly, I had a dream the other day and I saw Kris speaking to an audience about social injustice like a true leader and how it’s time to stand up for our rights. I woke up saying, “Whoa, whoa, whoa…that is definitely NOT the Kris that I know or see in real life…” =P Imagine if K-Pop stars had the right to speak about social issues, politics, and have discussions on intellectual topics. We never see that. It’s as if they are dolls, who are told to look pretty and nice, dance, sing, act and not do anything else. What they do is a tool for making the audience escape from reality or become numb to what is happening around them in this world. We never get to see the more human side of them where they have opinions about things.
I guess Korean entertainment companies are scared that if their artists ever speak out about something intellectual or debatable, some fans might not have the same view-point as them and may get offended. Pfff…kind of lame if you ask me. That’s why when people say they are “in love” with a celebrity, I just say, “you’re only in love with the image” ’cause you’re only shown what their company wants you to see. Who knows? The guy that you call perfect and handsome probably snores =P THIS IS REALITY MY FRIENDS – no one is perfect!
On the other hand, imagine if Kris was a masters student or someone speaking at a seminar. I would imagine him to have the following look like many of the students that I know.
Peace out!

Pingback: EXO’s Kris Wu – The “Mysterious” Member « A Spark of Moonlight
Yes this is so true right. From the beginning I start watching EXOM’s interviews I kind of feel like are what they saying true? Why are they always saying good things about each other and it just seems perfect too perfect.
Not that its bad but come on of course there will be bad times or sth. That’s natural. This makes me have a lot of questions about Kris. Because he is not allowed to show his real self. SME is too strict.
This would probably be why No Min Woo left SME. There are a ton of video of him that really shows the real him and what he is like. He even stopped by the airport to give autographs to fans. How sweet!
How could the managers hit fans? Omg. This makes me think twice to get a picture from Kris. I don’t even think that would happen
I don’t trust everything that is said =P We feel that way because we’re old enough to know that. If one was 12, I don’t think he/she would even notice these things because they don’t have enough experience in life to tell if someone is being genuine or not or know how entertainment industries operate. The K-Pop world deals heavily with image maintenance, because that’s how they market their artists. At least JYP is truthful about it. He mentioned that if they can market their artists and make fans attached to them, then it means that the company has done a good job.
Being in a group where there are 12 guys, there are bound to be disagreements. If you were in a group where there are 12 girls, do you think everyone is going to get along fine forever? There is going to be some disagreement about something or misunderstanding. SNSD, which has 9 members, stated last year that there would be small arguments between members and how one of the members would just go to her room and not come out for a while. Of course, the people within the group would need to figure out a way to solve the problem ’cause a group can’t function effectively when everyone is not happy.
No doubt, guys and girls behave differently. When guys have disagreements with one another or argue, the next few seconds they can seem entirely normal. For instance, I saw two guys arguing. After a while, one of the guys said, “Let’s sit down and play cards,” and the other dude responded, “Okay!” They seemed normal while playing cards, even though they may still have had some sort of grudge. I’ve seen this with my own eyes…hahaha. It’s strange…what can I say? xD
Even though Heechul from SJ is down-right crazy…I think he is one of the very few music artists in K-Pop that is just himself, and that’s what I like about him. When he is not happy, you can see it on his face, especially in variety shows, and the other members would leave him alone for a while by not speaking to him because they know that’s the way they need to deal with him…he needs alone time to cool down. Just give it some time until EXO becomes well-established…I’m sure the members of EXO will start revealing a few things about themselves just like their senior artists =P
About Kris…I think he is trying to be the best that he can be – to be a good role model and leader. I can see that and I know that he is working hard, but I hope he doesn’t lose himself in the process…as in entirely turn into someone that he really isn’t. Him wanting to be a stronger and better person is what I admire about him. I did like the fact that he was not afraid to mention that he is afraid of his manager; there must be some truth in this =P
Any artist that has left SME out of choice or free will has left for the reason that they didn’t have enough freedom to be themselves and express themselves…be it in what they say or do. SME is known for being strict and controlling on their music artists’ creative abilities and No Min Woo seems like the kind of guy that wants to be creative in music without any restrictions. He is multi-talented and controlling someone’s talent pretty much turns a passion into something burdensome. He probably felt like he was wasting away his talent and that he could do so much more without being in SME. Also, I really like it when music artists are down-to-earth with everyone around them, just like you said about No Min Woo giving out autographs to people at the airport.
Bring your uncle or some guy with you when you are in a crowd and ask for Kris’ autograph while the manager is around. At least there will be someone to protect you! If one of my uncles was with me and saw such behavior, he would have gotten into a fight with the manager. No kidding!
I’ve seen Siwon and Zhou Mi take photos with fans. I wish Kris and the rest of the members of EXO could do that too. Actually, I’ve seen Baekhyun take photos with fans at Disneyland and Lay has taken a photo with a fan at Disneyland AND one of the SMTOWN concerts. I think Lay is pretty relaxed about taking photos with fans, but you will have to ask when their manager is not around. Even though there might be a slim chance, I would still ask Kris for a photo. At least I would know that I tried =P If Kris considers his fans as friends, then he should take a photo with his friends, like friends normally do…kekeke! xD
Well, this turned out to be a rather long reply =P
Thanks to you i’m understanding more about the kpop industry ^^
“I saw a gif. of one of EXO-M‘s managers hitting a fan boy because the fan boy wanted an autograph from Kris.” do you know how kris reacted at that scene?
Kris was a bit startled and said something to the guy out of concern, but he couldn’t really do anything about it…sadly -_-
I reaally like your blog and posts about Kpop ^_^
I also follow you on tumblr but i think here is more interesting and i’m still not used to using tumblr xD
Me too saw the interviews and gifs etc but i can’t trust everything i see, especially if i don’t exactly know the circumstances, that easily leads to misunderstandings, which i really hate >_<"
At disneyland Lay was the only one waving back each time fans yelled his name , that was very kind of him :3
Thank you, Moodwsings! ^^
Oooh, what’s your blog’s name on Tumblr? I’m not that active over there…I feel like I can express myself better over here ^^’
My trust in them is starting to disappear like vapor. Just kidding! =P It’s a good thing that you don’t trust everything that you see in the media ’cause not everything that you see is true. Sometimes it is all acting.
Lay is really kind. He has a genuine way of expressing his gratitude and showing respect to everyone around him. Not to mention, he keeps pushing himself to do his best and works really hard. I think he can be a bit too hard on himself sometimes. You know, when someone is really kind…it kind of shows in their face =)
I like how Lay was happy at the fact that Kris lost in the rock-paper-scissors game at the airport. Hahahaha! xD Thank God, he is feeling much better now.
You followed back ^^ hahahah
i was active just the first week and now i’m too busy[lazy too.] to write stuff.
I wondered if there was a punishment for that as in disneyland Lay and D.O had to dance in public :3
I was so upset seeing those gifs of the managers hitting fans. 3 separate occasions where the managers hit the fans who were not even trying to touch the boys…worse part is though, one person on tumblr was actually defending the managers, saying what we see is not always the truth and the fans deserved it cause they were acting like animals. i feel sad for people who actually think that hitting someone is the way to solve a problem.
made me think of pre-debut days LOL
On a different note, it was nice to see the samurai hair on him
When one goes on Tumblr, it’s like one is entering high school all over again =P
Someone actually defended the act of violence against fans!? My God! I guess there is always going to be that one person that finds such acts as entirely normal. I didn’t see the fans acting as animals at all. Sure, fans can go out of control, which can anger many…but the people that were hit by the managers were absolutely calm and not harming any of the members at all. Sadly, a bit of my trust in SME has kind of been broken because of this.
Anyhow, I just find it strange how Kris put the glasses and the scarf around the alpaca stuff toy after I posted a picture of a Maltese puppy with glasses and a scarf in a post about his Bichon Frise around two months ago *raises eyebrow*
There is a pre-debut picture of Kris entering SME’s building with his back turned and Luhan standing next to him. I think it was taken in winter ’cause they were wearing really warm clothes. His “samurai” hair here looks like the kind he had in that pre-debut pic. xD
Idols are living a sad life tbh. They can’t just show their real selves. That’s kinda sad.
I also like Manager Khyun^^ He’s very popular among the Exotics. He also has a twitter account. I think he’s so cute (my bias in EXO OTL)
… and I thought I was the only one who noticed the similarity between Kris and CNU >.<
I agree, Nana….and the fact that they can’t show their real selves for years is kind of startling. It’s true that they are constantly under the pressure of having to please the audience by being someone they are not. I also think it’s our fault as fans…we keep pushing them and then criticizing them when something about them doesn’t seem appealing to us. I don’t know, but I’ve heard of celebs. that receive love and praise from thousands and thousands of fans yet still feel lonely and sad. One may ask, “How is that possible? Who would feel sad after receiving lots of love and praise?” Perhaps it’s ’cause they can’t really connect to us.
If only they knew that there was more to life than money and fame…but what can you do when most of the people in the K-Pop industry or even Hollywood enter at a young age when they are vulnerable and haven’t really thought much about their future? I understand that some may enter for financial reasons, ’cause it’s the quickest way to earn money; however, it’s not easy.
Normal people have problems in life too…it’s not just celebs., and it all comes down to how one handles everything, but I think most of us would choose to be ourselves in this process. As long as these people that everyone admires stay true to themselves, then things should be fine, iA.
Manager Khyun has quite a fan following xD I’m following him on Twitter as well ^^
CNU is really cute… xD
Sometimes, I can get really jealous of Kris for being a superstar cause he got an IPHONE5 for his birthday. I’m not going to lie, I was so jealous.Sometimes I feel like boybands like Suju or Exo can really make girls go crazy. If it were me, I would never give someone an iphone5 to anyone except for my parents, like I’m not trying to be mean or anything, it’s just that $1000 is alot of money.
I do feel bad for Kris and the other members of EXO because of the fact that they honestly never get any alone time. Every time they go to the airport, there will always be cameras flashing at them, and I think to myself, how do these fangirls even know that they’re going to be at the airport. And to be honest, I wish that the exo members would just take photos and sign autographs with their fans then they might actually leave them alone.
If you were a Kpop star, how would you react if you had someone giving you an iphone5 for your birthday and what would you feel like if someone kept taking pictures of you?
There is no need to be jealous, Sarah. Who knows, maybe they are jealous of the fact that we have the freedom to express ourselves without any restrictions and simply be ourselves without any pressure =P Would you rather have freedom or material possessions with no freedom? You can buy/receive all the material items in the world but you can’t buy freedom. Also, the grass always looks greener on the other side. Everything may look glamorous from a distance, but it really isn’t if you put yourself in a famous person’s shoes.
I’ve noticed that Kris gets the most gifts out of all the other members =P It’s not just SuJu and EXO that make girls go really crazy. Every band or singer has crazy fan girls and this has been happening for years. It’s a cycle that repeats itself. Have you seen how Michael Jackson’s fans were like? They used to cry when they would see MJ or would go completely out of control when expressing their appreciation for him. It’s just that the craze seems bigger these days because there is more exposure and the Internet is a really fast way to connect with everyone.
I wouldn’t give anyone, especially someone that I don’t know personally, an iPhone 5 like that either. I think giving expensive gifts should be for parents and close ones, like you mentioned. I guess people give expensive gifts to someone famous because they want to be remembered by him/her. Plus…no offense, I don’t like the iPhone 5′s design. One of my friends wanted to purchase the iPhone 5 on the day I went out for the Kris birthday event here, and when we checked out the phone at the Apple store, we were quite disappointed. My friend decided not to buy it. I don’t like the feel of it…it feels like cheap plastic. I like the heavy feeling of the previous iPhones. I’m kind of picky about technology =P My cousins are big fans of technology and have all the latest info. In fact, one of my cousins has a blog dedicated to discussing different technological devices and he gives opinions on them too. Sometimes I ask them for opinions before purchasing technological devices or I simply do my own research and ask the salespeople for info. on each product that I’m looking for at an electronics store.
It must be tough to always look good for the camera. I also wonder how people find out what time EXO-M leaves and arrives at airports just to take photos of them. I wonder how they even manage to take out time to do that o.O It would be nice for EXO to sign autographs and take photos with fans, but I think it would be best when the crowd around them is calm.
If I were a K-Pop star….xD If someone had given me an iPhone 5, I would actually feel guilty that they spent so much money. I would thank the person, but at the same time I would tell everyone that I would rather not receive any gifts like that and that the money they use should be used for meaningful things or for the people that are close to them, such as family. Also, I heard that many of the gifts K-Pop stars receive are given away to charity. Obviously, with all those gifts that they receive, they wouldn’t have any space in the dorms to keep them! I think letters of appreciation are the best. They seem more meaningful and motivating. On the other hand, if someone kept taking photos of me without my consent, I would feel slightly bothered. It has actually happened to me and I didn’t like it…but you know what I did? I took out my camera and started taking photos of that person as well just to show them how it feels…kekeke xD
