I have been a lil’ behind in terms of K-Dramas. Wait, not even a lil’…I haven’t even started watching the new ones yet!
I’ve been busy, busy, busy!
So the number one drama that I need to complete and had even made a post on, is none other than The Moon that Embraces the Sun. I am about half-way through the drama. The next one is Shut Up Flower Boy Band. I stopped watching it after episode 2 as it was around the time I had to travel. The third drama is Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang. It is old but I got through a couple of episodes and really liked it.

Isn’t this a lovely compilation? ^^ When Kris eye smiles, he looks exactly like a guy that I know o.O Not to mention, they are both tall and play basketball. Apparently that person used to annoy me because he thought I smiled too much and he would comment on every single thing that I would do, including how gracefully I eat my food, what I post on Facebook, and why I always work hard or why I am too nice to people =P Then there was the word, “shorty,” that I would have to hear every now and then. It was a clash of personalities. Anyhow, I was browsing through Tumblr and FB EXO fan pages last night and I heard that Kris cried at the SS4 concert in Indonesia, which doesn’t seem to be true. I guess he just had a little emotional moment. There were also photos of a “tattoo” on his upper left arm circulating around. People were wondering if it was real or fake and whether the tattoo was that of a scorpion (his star sign) or of a dragon (his EXO symbol). I believe the “tattoo” was part of the shirt’s design. I didn’t want to post anything about it as there is no solid evidence.
I am also a bit startled by the fact that people are actually going to purchase the Gucci Guilty Pour Homme cologne that Kris wears and was given to by a fan. My God, what has happened to the people of this world!? xD Like I mentioned in one of my posts, my 25-year-old cousin was right about EXO. Being with them is like having a huge diva party with Gucci products, golden scarves, glitter, etc etc etc xD As a marketing major, I think Kris would actually be a good celebrity endorser for high-end products, ’cause seeing his image + acting skills and how there are so many crazy fan girls of his, ladies would actually go and purchase them.
I can imagine this occurring in EXO-M‘s dorms…

Was he moved by Indonesian ELFs’ enthusiasm? Was he nervous? Was he just realizing that he’s finally made it after four long years? (some funny fans speculated that he simply burped X-D)
Whatever it was, we should remember that underneath that handsome, calm, and collected outer shell, Kris is still a 21-year-old boy. Being the leader, he needed to be mature, to be tough, to be proper, to provide the comforting shoulder for others to lean on… but sometimes he may need a shoulder to lean on as well (a very tall shoulder at that! lol)

I got a little emotional after seeing the gif. of Kris, but I laughed at what some funny fans had speculated. My speculation is that he was sighing at the thought of not being able to come to Australia and see fans like me for SS4. Just kidding! ^_~ EXO has become a source of comedy for me. The diva-ness of the members is being unleashed.
Oh no, an old song by Sisqo, called “Unleash the Dragon” is playing in my head now (there is even rap part in it). Imagine Kris singing the song xD Don’t ask me how I know this song. One of my friends made me listen to a lot of rap songs several years back.
I told my mum, “There are so many problems in this world…and yet I still pay attention to these celebrities, who are smiling and enjoying the ride of fame.” My mum told me that it is all an act and that they have a lot of problems too.
It probably is that way, but hey, they are entertainers…acting is what they are supposed to do. They put on a mask and act the way they want fans to see them. We will never know how they are really like or what they feel. All we can do is guess…

I, however, know that if I were in Kris‘ position and saw the amount of love from fans, I would probably end up crying and getting emotional too. His destiny was to become famous. My destiny…uhhh, I have no idea xD I, however, pray that all of us have happy lives iA. As we grow older, there will be more challenging moments in our life and we have to be strong.
The truth is, everyone is fighting a battle in this world.
What people forget is that, although some celebrities make us feel happy and joyful through entertainment, they will never be our ultimate source of happiness. Why? It’s ’cause they are humans just like us and do not have the power to grant us eternal bliss. It is God that is the ultimate source of happiness as he will be the one to lead us to Paradise after we leave this temporary abode iA.
I have a feeling that Kris will go very far in life iA (I don’t mean to place any pressure by saying this). There will also be many obstacles that he will have to face. I hope that he will be able to remember that he can always rely on God. The power of prayer and God…never underestimate it!

Dubai, Dubai, Dubai…what can I say? It’s the city where East meets West. Largely known for having the biggest of everything in the world, from malls to restaurants and high-end hotels, Dubai means a lot more to me than just these few characteristics. The United Arab Emirates is the first place that I have lived alone in for four years when I started my undergraduate studies. It is one of the very few cities that I feel comfortable roaming around in and have learned to become somewhat independent in. Furthermore, it’s the place where I made friends that became my family away from home. It has been about 8 or more months since I’ve seen Dubai and I have to admit, I miss it a lot. There is no city that could look as futuristic and glamorous as this hip and happening cosmopolitan city. Sure, there are good and bad points about every city in this world, but Dubai was my home away from home for the four years that I had spent there. Although I consider Hong Kong to be the most beautiful city in the world, there is this strong bond or homely feeling when I am in Dubai. Moreover, everything is new and exciting in the city for the reason that there is a wide amount of opportunity for residents to test out their entrepreneurial skills and start a business even in this economic downturn.
Although I could mention a lot about Dubai, I just felt like sharing a few pictures out of the numerous amount of photos of one or two places in the city that I have taken while roaming around.

I’m encountering a bit of writer’s block at the moment. I had so many things to write about, but now my mind has gone blank. Hence, I’m just going to let my mind wander freely as I type.
I’m really happy for the Indonesian fans of SuJu and EXO-M. I heard that they had the opportunity to hear Kris speak in English as well. I hope they enjoyed the SS4 concert last night ^^ If SS4 was not canceled here, I would have been seeing SuJu and EXO-M next week on May 5th. Sadly, it was not my fate. Many of the people that I know around me were very upset and disappointed. Some people have waited 6 years to see SuJu and were just thrilled to hear about the SS4 concert here…until we heard the news about it being canceled *sigh* Most of us have decided that we will not believe that there is any K-Pop concert happening here until we are actually AT the concert and see the members on stage iA =P

Good news, I was practicing the dance steps for EXO-K‘s “History” last night with the society that I am part of. The practice was held at a proper dance studio. Now, I can finally perform a bit of the dance. I also got a refund for the SS4 tickets so I don’t have to be worried about that anymore, alhamdulillah. However, I used all of my pocket money that I brought with me to purchase the ticket and lost some money while converting them to another currency -_- Oh well… I was quite surprised that there were many guys that showed up for the dance practice. I thought, “Wow…EXO has fan boys!” xD Furthermore, I never noticed that there were numerous dance moves that we had to do within a short amount of time. Honestly, when I look at EXO‘s music videos for “History,” I can’t even see some of the minor dance moves that quickly occur within three seconds. The dance is not that hard but doing the moves at the right pace can be tough if you only learn the steps within an hour. Now I understand why some of the EXO members have to change into three different shirts throughout the day when they go for dance practice. After an hour of full-on practice, I thought I was about to pass out xD
I made many mistakes in the dance but I know that with practice, I can be perfect just like the people that learned it within a week and were teaching us. The part that I could do perfectly was Kai/Kris’ part where you slide your leg to the right, then slide to the left twice, then slide to the right, then slide to the left, then slide to right twice. Did I lose you there? Hahaha! I was wearing a hoodie for the dance and received a lot of compliments on it. I was thinking the night before on what to wear as I didn’t have baggy pants with pockets. Instead, I had a flowy hoodie with pockets and it seemed rather unique and appropriate for the occasion ^^
I tried imitating ChanYeol’s, “No more shakin’ like that,” part by rubbing my hands together and moving my head from one side to the other. Then I missed the next dance move =P I was joking about some of the moves with the people near me to make them seem easier. For instance in the, “Oh-oh, oh-oh,” part, I stated, “It’s like I’m nodding and agreeing…” If we were dancing to EXO-M‘s version, I would have definitely yelled out, “Listen…enjoy the mayo!” =P I was imitating Kris’ parts, especially the raising eyebrows expression, while talking to a few friends about our biases before the dance. Most of them told me that they like all of the members, especially ChanYeol when he does his aegyo expressions. All I could say was, “They are all adorable, but my favorite is Kris…since the beginning – way before ‘History’ was even released.” One of the girls asked, “Is it ’cause of that fan. cam. of Kris and Tao crossing the street?” My reply was, “Ohhh, the fan. cam., no. It was since, ‘What Is Love.’” Anyhow, I am known by my friends from high school days as having the art of imitating and acting =P Yes, I can be a joker at times and have hyper moments behind my seriousness xD
It’s amusing how some of the people around me, that complained about EXO when I was praising them just two months back, are now the very same people that are big fans of them and are willing to learn their dance. I remember telling them, “It’s a fact that many, who are currently complaining about the number of teasers for EXO, will still check out their debut MV and end up showing interest in them.” Guess what happened? What I said came true! Anyhow, there was a guy at the dance practice that happens to be a huge fan of EXO and my God, he danced AMAZING! Even though we had a whole discussion online about EXO and he told me that I seemed really fond of the group after I had explained the symbols and meaning of the teasers, it feels like he is more into the group as he nailed pretty much every dance step for “History” with passion and power. I heard that he tried out for the auditions for a South Korean entertainment company that had representatives come here just recently. If he didn’t get selected than there must be something wrong with the judges! He said that we all should learn EXO‘s “MAMA” so that we can enter the contest that SM Entertainment is holding for the fans of EXO. I thought that was a great suggestion, but I participated in submitting questions for EXO‘s showcase and honestly, I don’t have the same amount of time and energy to do something for the company at the moment -_- I do feel that SM Entertainment took my positive criticism of their public relations work into consideration as many of the suggestions that I had mentioned, are now being stated in their official notice for EXO‘s cover contest for “MAMA.” Coincidence? o.O I have a feeling that some of the representatives lurk around my blog. It’s what marketing researchers do to know what their consumers are saying about their “products.” These are the wonders of being a marketing major and knowing every single thing that marketing people do =P This is why education is important!
All my Asian friends attacking the dumplings xD I would have said, "Toot paro!" or, "Dig in!" in my language. Kekeke!
After the dance practice, I went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant with some of the lovely people from the society. I could only eat vegetarian food. It is sometimes hard to explain to people here about Halal food, but I am grateful that everyone is attentive and considerate about my preferences. I’ve noticed that my Asian friends around here take care of me whenever I go out. I really admire their hospitality. I tried explaining what Halal food is to one of my friends and I don’t think she understands it ’til now…umm, let’s just say that there are some misconceptions about my religion amongst some of my Asian friends. Also, when I get asked out for a drink, I have to decline the offer and I am often asked why. Furthermore, some of my friends that come directly from Mainland China, including Lay’s hometown, thought I wasn’t Muslim because I didn’t cover my hair o.O It sometimes makes me wonder if Lay and the other EXO-M members have the same misconception. It’s okay, I’m very patient with my friends and often sit down to explain everything to them. I know one Chinese guy that was keen on knowing more about Islam so I actually explained a few things to him. He realized that he wanted to quit some of his bad habits.
Did I mention that there are several Chinese students that enjoy eating Desi (Pakistani/Indian) food around here? Whenever I go to the food court in my university, I see many Chinese students eating the type of food that I eat. It brings tears to my eyes…okay, maybe not, but I feel so happy to see them eating food from my home country ^^ I feel like taking some of my friends out to a Pakistani restaurant and making them try every single dish. I made one of my friends try chicken tikka and she said that she was dreaming about it at night and wanted to eat some again xD I should probably make her try some of the achaar chicken that I made recently. I had no idea that so many Asians love spicy food. As for me eating tons of East Asian food these days, I feel like I’m becoming an expert at using chopsticks. Yay!
I’ve noticed that it has been three months since I’ve watched any Korean dramas. I really want to catch up with what I have missed and spill a few tears here and there from the dramatic story lines that seem more like a fairytale (no matter how realistic they are supposed to be), but not until I get a proper Internet connection iA. The only thing I’ve been keeping myself up-to-date with is EXO and I kind of need something new as too much of anything can be bad. At the moment, I feel numb. There is a voice inside my head that keeps telling me that I need to continue looking out for EXO. I try to ignore it…but, “it’s too cool to ignore.” I don’t know why. I try. I’m 23 years old…why am I…

I have been wanting to make a post on this for AGES so I have finally decided to do so before I forget.
I don’t know how many people are aware of JPM, but I discovered this group around Summer 2011. Their song, “Moon Walk,” was the first song that I have listened to from the group. It is no surprise that I became a fan of them, thanks to my interest in space. As soon as I saw the video and listened to the song, “Moon Walk,” I knew I had to download it. Ever since then, I have even liked JPM‘s official Facebook fan page to keep myself up-to-date about their latest MVs.

So who is JPM? JPM is a Taiwanese pop group that was formed in 2011 under A Legend Star Entertainment. The group consists of three members: Lil Jay/Xiao Jie/Brian, Wang Zi/Prince, and Mao Di. Their first album, “Moon Walk” was released on the 26th of August, 2011 and the music video for “Moon Walk,” was released sometime earlier in August, 2011.

After noticing EXO‘s concept and watching their MV for “History,” which was released on the 8th of March, 2012, I remembered JPM. Although their MV’s are not really similar, it’s the concept of space and extraterrestrial planets that grabbed my attention. Additionally, the shiny clothes, ear piercings, and space dust in EXO-M‘s version added on to the list of similarities =P

Furthermore, JPM‘s Wang Zi aka Prince (it’s amusing how his other name is really “Prince” xD) sometimes reminds me of EXO‘s Kris (he is also called “Prince Charming” by a few fans but it’s not official =P). For me, they both have a similar aura. On an interesting note, I logged onto Facebook today and noticed that Wang Zi took photos with 149 or more fans. It’s not one photo with 149+ fans in it all together. No! It’s a photo with EACH fan. I was amazed! He must of had a lot of patience to stand and take photos with each of his fans.
Speaking of this, I have always been interested in seeing a K-Pop star in real, especially my favorite ones, but I am always concerned about whether their manager would ever allow me to take a photo with the group or not. As many of you may know, K-Pop stars have managers that most often do not allow the celebs. that they are taking care of to take photos with fans. Most of my friends have taken photos with several Bollywood and Hollywood actors/actresses and singers (some of them are lucky to meet up with more than 5 or more celebs. that are in popular rock groups whenever they go to a concert. They even get to talk to them back stage. I seriously do not know how they do it…but they are darn lucky! xD). I, on the other hand, have NEVER seen any favorite celeb. of mine in real life. I feel a little concerned about seeing a favorite K-Pop celeb. for the first time and not being able to take a photo with them as a memorable moment. I would feel heart-broken if that was the case. However, I was really happy to see that EXO-M were allowed to take a photo with some fans today! It gave me hope xD
I understand why some of the managers of K-Pop stars would be concerned as some fans tend to be extreme and go overboard in showing their appreciation for a celeb. However, there are calm and normal fans like us too.
Anyhow, my friend Christiana has a feeling that I will meet Kris one day iA. I laugh whenever she tells me this. My reply is always, “In my dreams…but if God wills, then yes.”
But you know what? Even if you don’t ever get the opportunity to meet your favorite celeb., it doesn’t really matter. Why? If you think about it, today, tomorrow, or a few months from now could be your last day on Earth and the last thing that would be on your mind is whether you ever got to meet your favorite celeb. or not. What would matter most is your own life. Philosophical, huh?
It doesn’t hurt to sometimes dream though ^_~

Today, I decided to take a break from K-Pop and plug in my external hard disk, which has a music folder of all the old songs that I used to listen to back in high school, into my laptop. I was choosing whether to listen to some video game music or music from some of the Anime that I used to watch. I saw the “Bleach” music folder and my God, the memories of my high school days are coming back again…
I don’t know whether I should cry or smile. All I know is that when I listen to these old songs, such as those from “Bleach,” I look outside the window next to me, feel the warmth of the sunlight, and enjoy the sight of green trees surrounding the area. I feel content and the scenery looks brighter.

Learning EXO-K‘s “History” dance this Friday iA! Watching the dance practice all over again has made me realize how fast the moves really are o.O
Wish me luck! I asked the guys (they are Asian and are amazing at dancing) from the other dance class if they could teach EXO-K‘s “History” but they said it was too hard, even though they knew some of the moves. However, the other society that I am part of is teaching it! I’m into graceful dancing so hip-hop is quite a challenge for me. The moves are aggressive and I look funny when I do them (at least, that is what I think). Graceful dancing suits my appearance. Got to get the gangsta look on now! Where is my hoody and baggy pants? Black…Should I wear all black? The problem, however, is that the black pants that I have don’t have pockets. Hmm, I think I have a better outfit in mind.
Also, I wish I had long legs like the guys from EXO >_< Seriously…
On an interesting note, this is what the sky looked like yesterday. It was awesome and strange at the same time. I felt like I was looking at the surface of Jupiter. I love observing the sky from my balcony. I think the view is lovely as my apartment is on an elevated area. Even when I go to sleep for an hour in the day-time and have the blinds of my room open, I can see the blue sky and the clouds moving. The view looks like the picture of the sky in SM Entertainment’s classic dance practice room as seen in the above video of EXO-K‘s dance practice for “History.” It’s as if I’m in a room that is floating in the sky.

Anyhow, I find it amusing how there are spelling mistakes in Kris‘ message xD “How are you DONG?” The “W” in “We” needs to be in lowercase letters, a full stop is needed after the word, “Showcase,” and there is supposed to be a capital “Y” in the word, “you,” which comes after that. Furthermore, an “s” is needed after the word, “moment.” Kekeke!
By the way, where is Kris? Is he still in China? o.O It’s a bummer that there are some censorship policies on some of the social media sites over there >_<
